Does not use LiFePO4 batteries. Look at other models.
Does not use LiFePO4 batteries. Look at other models.
If you use the unit regularly, several times a week, then yes LiFePO4 is worth it.
Otherwise, if you used a standard lithium setup like this once a week it would take 10 years to reach the rated cycles for 80% capacity. The battery isnt dead after that level of use, only 20% missing. By the time you reach the service life there will be far better products on the market.
LiFePO4 is also far less energy dense than standard lithium, making same capacity units heavier by about 50%.
This battery chemistry is fine for units that do not see constant use and where portability is important.
The warranty time differs from different battery cells.
Specifically, the 5-year warranty is for models built with LifePO4 batteries,
and the 1.5-year warranty is for models built with MCN (Nickel Manganese Cobalt) batteries.

Primary use is to keep the router and modem powered during PGE outages/wildfires. We dont have cell service so wifi is the only contact, a UPS does not have the runtime for extended outages.
I also take it camping to keep my camera batteries charged, phones, inflator for air mattresses etc.
Also used it when I worked on the Creek Fire with the Forest Service (kept all my crews gear ready on our 16 hour shifts), use it to run photography lights in the field, test wiring in my house before power hookups were done, road trips, etc.
I have a much larger ecoflow delta max that I use to keep my fridge running during said outages without having to run my generator all the time. It keeps my fridge on for 26 hours, and recharges in 1.5 from the generator, or 12 from my solar panels. Plan to bring this camping as well to run a heated camp shower for the less nature inclined guests.
The weakest part of this is that the max input for 8mm plug is 60 watts. If you have a USB-C input, it will also take 60-65 watts. So, max input is 120 watts.

I also agree LiFePO4 isn't necessary depending on use. Only if you're cycling through your batteries daily I'd say it's worth it. If you're only using these power stations once in a blue moon for emergencies/camping, NMC is fine.
Seems like it's worth 20 bucks difference to me.
Security wise, you don't have to allow people (not that you ever have to) but people will often look for an outlet or a charger.
As far as ac function goes, these are just way too small to be realistically useful, except for the pass through units If your running these which support ups features. The thing is, their reaction time isn't nearly as fast as a regular ups.
