The Mini has the enduro battery hardwired…I also wonder the longevity of the battery and length of recording on a single charge.

Been waiting for a good deal on a GoPro to get helmet cam footage while motorcycle riding.

Idk about you but im on my bike for more than an hour or 2 usually. So i keep batteries in my backpack. Im sure u can get better life if u do 1080 instead of 4k n lower framerate. But then whats the point if u cant read lisence platea n such

An hour or 2? My Hero 10 recording 1080 depleats the battery after 25-30 minutes of continuous recording if it doesn't overheat and shut down before that.

I have the same on my Hero 10 , just 25-30 min while riding mtb
this is for none stop ride
then I have to swap another battery

how it will work for the mini with built in battery?
no, I don't need GPS (off) nether screens (also off)

as result for any day riding activity I'm not sure that mini will work

it's likely will be good for a drone, that has to be recharged under 15 - 30 min flight, even some comes with battery replacement

so, how practical to have built in battery?
what will you do in an year or two when will be no juice in that battery? replace whole Mini?

does Mini work with power bank? while inconvenient, but might work for some use cases

One of the ways I use my Hero Black 7 is to record Christmas and birthday stuff, where I have it on a tripod, and while I can get about 1 - 1.5 hours just on the battery (well, the official battery - get a little less on my 3rd party batteries), I use an external battery to keep it going beyond what I can get on an internal battery alone, and I usually record 2 - 2.5 hours before I shut it down. I don't really seem to have issues with it overheating or corrupting videos. I usually record in 1080p. Granted, I only recently got a TV capable of playing 4k, so I might start recording some stuff in that, which may make it more likely to overheat.

At any rate, I can't imagine wanting to have a GoPro with a hardwired battery, nor would I be that inclined to get a camera without a screen. However, I could understand others being willing to live with those sacrifices at this price.
