how is this related
Because this is Pyrex, not PYREX. It's good information for people who want to know, like me.
I suppose that if the buyer is inclined to chill the bottle, say in their freezer, then fill it with boiling water, PYREX borosilicate glass would be the bottle of choice.

all caps PYREX is made of borosilicate glass, while lower case pyrex is made of soda lime.
Borosilicate is more resistant to thermal shock and might be stronger*.

*EDIT... this popular flow chart states that soda lime is slightly more shatter proof, which would be more desirable in a water bottle. I can't find anything definitive one way or the other.

You don't want borosilicate for a water bottle. People really blow the differences out of the water.
Borosilicate is better for temperature shock and was the signature feature of PYREX, but this phenomenon is far less common than dropping or banding glass on a counter or floor. Thus most people actually will be better off with Pyrex, the lower case Soda Lime Glass brand spin-off.
Especially in a water bottle, it would be insane to steer people toward PYREX borosilicateā¦ which is less shatter resistant.
In case anybody cares about "why borosilicate glass?"
