For anyone who has a cabinet, I highly recommend modding it for $250 and a few hours of work. Or get one for ~ $250 then mod it. Instructions are on YouTube and mod parts are on eBay/Amazon. I bought an X-Men versus Street fighter cabinet for $350. Then I wanted to get the NFL Blitz cabinet but it was $600. Ultimately the above and couldn't be happier

Screen is too tiny for any decent gaming especially the 4 player.
Is this a slick deal? What's so special about this one?
After buying the Simpsons cab for $199 and adding Turtles to it, I don't think I'd ever pay more than about $299.99 for another single game cabinet even with a stool and wall sign :p

The special thing about this cabinet is that MVC2 is extremely difficult/expensive to find legally. It's been pulled off digital stores due to all the copyright crap attacthed to each individual character. This cabinet also comes with a bunch of other crossover capcom fighting series (i think it was like 6 games in total). It was advertised to have online play but idk if they finally implemented it yet. It was also very input laggy on release and idk if they have fixed that either.
If anything, the lightup marquee and cabinet art is top notch if you're willing to go for this as your one modded device. The stock armrest/platform segment thing is also slightly improved from the first generation of 1up cabinets.
Other than that, idk what else is worth mentioning.
I'd be leery of this one. Some of the reviews mention slowdowns and glitches. This game runs on SEGA Naomi hardware in the arcade. It's similar to Dreamcast hardware. It's not as easy to emulate as some of Arcade 1up's previous titles. Most people who play MVC2 play the Dreamcast version because a decent arcade emulator for Naomi didn't even exist until 2-3 years ago and it requires a decent amount of hardware to run. As much as Arcade 1up likes to cut corners I can't imagine they gave the machine enough cpu and memory to run well.
It's an incomplete arcade 1up cabinet. The online vs does not work for MVC2. But for the other games online play is available. Mvc2 is the final perfect form for cross over fighter series under the capcom platform from the 90s. The online should be up sometime this spring, but im not holding my breathe. Nor am I ever going to pay full price for another cabinet. They alllllllll go sale from 30-50% off.....(past slickdeals)
There is an app you can use called FIGHTCADE if you want to play any of these games for free. Cabinets are an amazing hobby/investment if you enjoy the look and feel of a half-sized arcade machine. IMO the fact that these cabinets use the power of a cell phone charger and are a fraction of the price vs a real arcade machine. Its a Win! But if you going to buy it for a mod....just use a raspberry pi and usb fight stick. You'll be happy on the room you saved.
