Ignore. This is a good price for a 3080 and 6900HX.

I would personally wait for the new gen laptops to start hitting the market next month, and there would probably be more sales for the 3000 series laptops.

Dude you really shouldn't ask someone if they understand the math if you don't have a clue. That's not how math works, that's not how latency/refresh works. Let me put it simple for you - there's plenty of new monitors that are 75Hz with a 5ms response time - according to your "math", that means those monitors are actually 15Hz (which would mean you would see actually see the frames stuttering). That makes no sense. Think about it next time before you go showing off your "math" abilities.

Also you need to divide the frequency per number of threads to get the real not marketing frequency. So in reality we have here 4.90 / 16 = 306.25 MHz processor (like Pentium 2). Don't let them corporations trick you into buying old tech!!!

Will this laptop keep up with the next 6-7 years of gaming comparative to PS5 and Xbox consoles?

I would hate for this 3080 mobile to struggle once true next gen games come out using Unreal Engine 5
