Great receiver, but the Onkyo TX-RZ50 has a better overall feature set and capability with DIRAC functionality and it is slightly cheaper.
Yamaha has better internal amps, but Aura 3D is far behind DIRAC in a 9-channel home theater. If you are looking to use external amplification get the Onkyo over the Yamaha.

Do the hdmi boards in Yamahas allow full bandwidth now? I kept hearing horror stories of people trying to get VRR rates to work over hdmi and seeing comments about bandwidth being limited to 28gbps being the cause.
