I have no experience with this shovel but I wanted to address the odd marketing that they have showing a use for installing a mailbox… you want a post hole digger not this shovel to install posts and mailboxes

They each fulfil a different purpose in general. The 27" one is great for working in tight and enclosed spaces, which could be a trench you are digging for a water line problem. I have actually used it for that purpose. It is much easier to dig out a trench with the small 27" one once you are a few feet down. I also live in a 100 year old house that has a dirt bottomed crawlspace in the basement that is 2/3 of the entire foundation footprint. The clearance is about 3 feet. I needed a 27" shovel to work in that cramped space putting in concrete bases for added beam supports. I would not have been able to do it with any other sized shovel. The 27" shovel is now kept in my car and I have used it for digging out snow and ice from the tire area many times. It's perfect for that whereas a snow shovel would not have been able to break up the ice. Saved me from getting stuck like that twice. It's small enough where you don't even notice it in your hatch or trunk area.

Never heard of this brand but I love the D-handle shovel. Was skeptical when I first tried it but now I can't imagine going back.

I bought this a year ago - definitely paid more than this. Has held up fine so far with moderate use for normal dad type jobs like mulch and dirt piles etc. I am 5'6 so this may not be the best for anyone super tall.

Be careful with these - my neighbor asked for my D and now my wife is mad.
