I got these about 6 months ago for this price and it hasn't gone up at my store. I don't think people realize how cheap they are as they're mixed in with the other pricier large ones and the tags aren't up for these. When I got mine they had to get some unloaded and they thought I was wrong on the price. They seemed to think I was going to say nevermind after they were rung up. Anyway, I'm happy with them. I ran across reviews that mentioned them fading quickly. 've had mine on my deck so can't say I've seen it.

oh. wanted to add that they're delicate. There were quite a few chipped ones at the store when I got mine. I haven't had any break but I could see them chipping fairly easily if you weren't careful.

As long as you don't get the painted ones. All three of mine are bubbled up, ugly, and even some large pieces have sluffed off the rim.

See desktop site.

Nice pots. Seems they have been this price for about 7 months now . Picked up some then and then they came on SD about 5 months ago . Don't think the price ever went back to full. But the pots are nice !!

We bought 3 of these last year at this price and they're beautiful. They don't sound at all like the ones some of you are commenting on. Ours look exactly like the picture in the OP. They are quality, thick walled, Terra Cotta with no paint or color (other than the natural reddish brown of terra cotta). The design across the top is a simple, pretty, rope design. We garaged them for the winter so they wouldn't crack. Here in CT, 2 stores near me said they didn't have any but I found 3 at a nearby store. I think the trick is finding employees willing to look. I'm sure they're at the other stores, just still in boxes no one has unloaded yet. All 3 of ours were still in the well-packed boxes they were shipped in. Nothing ugly, flimsy or cheap (except the price) about them.

I got a dozen of these over the summer; some had a "funny" tint out of the box but nothing too bothersome. They are sturdy but like any clay pot are fragile. No issues with them having them out in the MI summer; garaged them
Over the winter to avoid cracking…not sure if it have happened but was a precautionary move
The cracking is part of the reason we've gone to ceramic coated ones only. The plain 'clay' like these tends to crack when the water gets into the porous material, leading to cracks and a pot that wastes dirt when it falls apart or is moved.

The plastic ones get murdered by the sun and end up doing something similar.

These are definitely better in pictures lol. I got a few last year, quite small and not as nice but I picked up in store anyway. Now they look really bad after a year being outside.

I frequent the garden areas at my home Depot and have not seen these, they're mixed in with the expensive ones!

I finally got 3 of the large ones, and their heavy duty stone quality like the picture. What was weird is the first time I purchased online, they canceled the order because they were 'sold out.' Then a few days later they showed in stock, so I tried it again with success. At pickup they were still in the original shipping boxes unopened, so they either just received them, or finally found them in storage. Pretty good deal

These chip like crazy. I'm not sure if it would be safe growing food in them either

You left out the part where that water in the pours has to freeze

I know they're Terra cotta. Can they be spray painted? Would they make good planters on steps.
I have them. I would say yes. Use a primer later as well as a clear sealer. They won't last forever in direct sun. But we all know Mother Nature is a tough broad Smilie

They probably can't find them. I bought these last year. Went to the store to pick up and it took them a good 30 to 60 minutes to find them. They're in plain boxes and were up on a top shelf.
