From a quick google search it looks like we have laws dictating what chemicals self defense sprays can contain. This stuff might not meet those requirements.
Hilarious! If California allows it so should NY 😂

Will this stop a pitbull? I just need to protect against pitbulls. Humans I can throw money at. Pittys don't care at all.

Last year, these were $35 around Spring. Later in the Summer they were selling for $25 after $10 coupon. I wonder if they are clearing them for the new ones releasing later this Spring.

Uh... I don't get the part where NY is prohibited.
its not cheaper. However you can go to a guns / ammo store in NY and buy them. Just have to show ID (for age) and thats it.

I know we all want deals but if you are truly concerned about your safety; saving a couple of dollars should not be a factor. The difference is sometimes life and death but just being hurt and in the hospital is a great cost.

I got this last year in store for 2899 I think. I used it once and it worked well against somebody who wouldn't leave the property.

I used to be a security officer and based on my research, the gel-based ones performed better in real life scenarios. They are more of a stream that splashes on contact. The sprays do not work well outside especially if there is any type of wind. It could actually blow back into your face or not go into the direction you're aiming.
You are also supposed to test them out occasionally to ensure they are working. Hopefully not on your friends or family. Lol.
Thanks, I'll hold off buying this and look for gel version repped

I only carry POM OC spray. It's nasty stuff, and I recommend it highly. 😀
Does it cover your ASP?

Nice, you can claim defense with the spray but may end up with criminal charges if one decides to engulf the attacker in flames with a match or lighter after spraying

Lawyers, how would something like this play out.?
Always depends on the facts, but generally you'd need to reasonably believe that you're in imminent peril of suffering serious bodily injury or death to justify using potentially deadly force (engulfing your attacker in flames).
