The Ironton 1,500 Watt Heat Gun provides sufficient power for DIY use. Features 2 heat settings (572° and 932°F), large trigger switch for comfort, mica paper element and removable collar. Has hanging ring for convenient storage.
Have always wanted one, but with such little use, I just couldn't justify buying one, but at this price, why not. In for one.
I was in the same situation and then got one and now use it so much more than I thought I would. I'm tempted to get this for the price just to have the tips that my Wagner did not come with for 3x the price.

For those on the fence, this is an incredibly useful tool. I have a simple one like this in the house and a more adjustable one (Harbor Freight Bauer) in the shop. It's impossible to make a complete list but a heat gun has helped me remove stickers, remove peeling vinyl paint, melt wax into leather boots for waterproofing, reshape deformed plastic like broken toys, heat shrink wires, make cold tubing pliable, bend curves in PVC pipes, unweld PVC DWV fittings, heat shrink unraveling hoodie strings, fix plastic discolored due to bending, remove plastic snap lock lids like McCormick spice grinders, install winter window insulation film, and dry off metal quickly to avoid rust. I used both heat guns today and a half dozen times over the last week.
Never expected to use it so much when I bought the first one but it definitely makes a large variety of odd jobs possible or at least easier!
That said, the only extra tips that I have used are the flat curved one that helps wrap heat around a pipe and the cone. The former is great for bending plastic pipe and the latter for concentrating heat on a smaller area. I almost always use the heat guns without any nozzle.
