Samsonite is probably one of the more recognized names in luggage. Most brands have different levels durability in their lines. For the average traveler, this is likely a great deal. Plus, it's sold by Costco, so you have that satisfaction guarantee as well.
They should. Otherwise, you could return the ones you have then walk over and purchase it now at the sale price.
I've done this before. Bought duplicate item. Walked over to the return counter and retuned duplicate item but pulled up the original item receipt on the Costco app. No issues. They PM without needing to do this if matching within 30 days of purchase.
How does this set compare to the Samsonite OMNI 2 3-PC set that normally sells for $206? Is the latter one a better deal since you get a 25-in one for just $40 more?
where is the omni for that price?

These 2-piece combo becomes a bit challenging as some international travel is 2 large checkin plus 1 carry-on. One ends up with too many carry-ons.
Would be better if Costco sells 3-pc sets (27" or 28", 25" and 20").
27"-28": For lighter but space consuming packaging.
25": For heavier but less space consuming packaging.
20": Ideal carry-on (most international is now just 15lbs/7kg).
Even ignoring the security aspect, what I've never understood/liked about zipped hard size luggage is that it's not fully hard. Sure, the sides will have (some) protection from piercing, I guess, but the overall luggage provides little to no practical crush resistance.
There is hard side luggage without zippers you're saying? Or are you saying you might as well get soft side luggage instead
Welp.. I was todays years old when I learned this exists
Odd that this isn't in the front-page. The deal starts in just a few days. I posted this because it would be helpful for anyone buying luggage not knowing this deal is in two days.
The large is over 62 linear inches, so is oversized. Airlines will charge a bunch for that.
Linear Dimensions 62.52".....this has to be one of the worst product design decisions of all time or they are banking that no one is going to enforce the additional .52" as oversized baggage.....
For me, luggage is one of those items worth splurging on. It's nice to have bags that are more expensive for the times you go to a nicer hotel and/or have valets. You can have nice luggage at a cheap hotel but not cheap luggage at a nice hotel. Plus good luggage lasts and is well designed. Costco has a partnership with Briggs and Riley and their luggage isn't cheap but it's worth the extra money. Plus it's guaranteed for life and they have great customer service.
Pfffft...yea, ok.
