Keep in mind that the Rtings review is for a 65" with an ADS/IPS panel. This 85" has a VA panel, so overall it will perform better than the Rtings review suggests... especially for movies.

Excellent price.

Local dimming, bright picture, 4xHDMI 2.1, solar charging remote, solid build quality.

For just $400 more, this is a better deal than the lg86 and Sony85 deals posted recently.

Frontpage worth deal.

Employee email address sign up or AAA membership and access via AAA discount portal by searching Samsung, then shop now and validate identity for access to discounted Samsung. So far appears to be the same as EPP program pricing.

Q90B is $500 more and a great deal. Significant improvement in performance per rtings. Just ordered and also had no trouble getting free wall installation by chatting with customer support (which you can get with the Q80B as well).

Also 15% back right now by going through that other unnamed cite.

Can you give me more info on the 15% cash back?
Have to always check the details. 15% only applies to phones, laptops, tablets. Only 2% cashback on TVs.

You are correct! I'm usually good on the details but missed this one. I still love the deal overall, thanks for the correction!

15% doesn't apply to TV's unfortunately. Still just 2% for TV's

Wish I could get an equivalent deal on their 75" (a 70" would be even better). I don't think I could squeeze an 85" in my space.

Thank you for this! Bought one. The promo on the free Samsung Care has ended unfortunately. The AAA Membership is awesome! It already paid for itself and some. My largest TV is a 65".....this 85" TV is going to be amazing. Unfortunately the fastest ship date was Feb. 27th

Soap Opera Effect even when turning off all related settings. Can't get it to go away. Anyone else have this problem? Thinking of sending back. There are numerous discussions about this over the past year on Reddit and comments have all been turned off. Almost as if Samsung is paying to hide this, and this is the reason for all the discounts. It's unwatchable, IMO. This is for QN90B model, btw.

Did you try movie and game mode, then adjusting the settings from there?

It will likely get denied. The Samsung link typically strips the tracking parameters from any affiliate. I hope it works for you.
Dang, it's my first time using it and figured since it is pending it should be good. Do they deny after it is pending sometimes?

Mine arrived last night. I noticed marks on the screen before powering on. Once on, the screen was totally ruined, lines everywhere. I had to initiate a return and they sent a label for Fedex. I had to call Fedex to pickup.

Samsung doesn't have a replacement process so I had to do a return and buy another one. They recreated the cart for me but weren't able to waive the Samsung Care up front. They promised a price match once I receive it. The next one is to be delivered on the 7th. This also means I have $3,200 on my credit card until the return is received and the price match is added. Frustrating experience....
I went through 3 of these TV's. First one had some weird spots on the screen. Seconds had one dead pixel. By the time I bought the third, I had trouble getting the free 2 year samsung care. Third one was perfect. I now see that the qn85b is only $200 more, which is tempting. I'm going to stick with this tv because it's such a hassle to remove it from the wall and pack it up. I'm also running out of friends to help me.
