Metabo HPT's new D10VH2 is vastly improved over previous models featuring an all-metal keyless chuck for higher durability and better bit holding capability. Equipped with a higher amp motor to improve efficiency, and an added belt hook for convenience, the D10VH2 is the perfect tool for light drilling jobs in metal and wood. Its rubber over-molded handle adds comfort and improves control. The variable speed dial with lock-on is convenient for adapting to the task at hand, and reduces fatigue during continuous use applications. An easy to access forward and reverse button makes backing out a bit quick and easy, and can be operated with one hand. The new D10VH2 is the perfect addition to any tool box.

The run time on this is excellent.
In case anyone else is wondering, the typical going rate for these is about $60 new and $40-45 referb. The only negative I can see is it's 3/8" chuck.

You bet...and it will work 20 years from now when you pick it up off of the shelf. For several decades corded tools were the only option, yes tripping over a cord sucks but if you're doing stationary work at a bench or garage or something then it'll do just fine. I like my cordless tools when I'm on a ladder, or in a location where running an extension cord isn't ideal or where access to power is limited or unavailable. But generally speaking, having a tool that doesn't need charged and that will age well...is also a huge benefit for the right person and the right application. I bought a Metabo grinder on sale a few years back...it's okay, it hasn't failed. I'd say I'm happy with it but I have only moderately used it. I'd have to say the 3/8" chuck is limiting as most drills come with a 1/2" chuck these days. If you only use 1/4" hex shank bits then you'll be fine for drilling, something to think about but not a deal killer. Common drill bills sizes of 1/8, 1/4, 3/8 will work all day long in this guy.
