Anyone saying the recommended watts shouldn't be looked at is giving bad advice. There are spikes that can occur and will shut everything down. Just because it hasn't happened, doesn't mean it can't and won't.
For me, I'm not going to cheap out a few bucks to run a lower psu.

This and the Corsair someone asked about fall under the tier a on this list. Both are solid psu for a great price.

They have multiple versions with the same model numbers that cant be distinguished only by country. I think they make them in China and Vietnam You don't want the one of the two versions produced in Vietnam (cheaper capacitors)

If your building an all white pc with the visible bay window where the hard drive garage thing is, makes this extra helpful. But this seems to be one of the few if only all white power supplies out there

This is the main reason hahaha...

you can get away with even a 500w on most single cpu/gpu systems. Running my Seasonic 550w on a 5800x3d and a 6700xt although you should just look up real world power usage and see that under gaming it's usually not very high load unless you got some absurd TDP power parts overvolted

I have a RTX 3800ti and AMD 5900x. Currently my system is running a 750W cheap PSU that came with the prebuilt pc. I upgraded the CPU and GPU after the fact. I haven't notice any issues accept when I play a certain game which sometimes has a FPS drop for a split second every now and then. I hear 850W is where I should be. Wondering if this is worth the upgrade. Can anyone chime in with some advice.

I think what you're describing is micro stuttering in gaming. I'm quite sure it has nothing to do with power draw. Also 750 watts is more than enough for your setup. However, your psu also came pre built so I'm not sure if it's cheap, average, or high quality.

$115 for 80+ Gold does not appear to be a good deal. Asus 850W 80+ Platinum for about $130 was a good deal and EVGA 1000W 80+ Platinum for $120 was an excellent deal. Unless, of course, you prefer to pay extra for the white color scheme.
