Why only 3-piece-sets go on sale all the time, but not single pieces? I need a good quality 27"-29" one under $100; but there are none.

I was at BJs yesterday and saw a Travelpro 28 or 29". Was $99. Couldn't get any info on it other than it is a Travelpro Air Pro Lite. Also had Carry on for $79. They had black in the checked luggage and black and blue in Carry On. This was Chicopee Massachusetts BJ store.
Not sure if that helps. Travelpro makes good luggage. These were soft sided.

Try Marshalls.. Saw 27 or 29 (don't remember exactly) for $79.99 the other day

Burlington Coat Factory stores also carry a variety of soft and hard sided suitcases.

I'd seen a few Dockers at TJMaxx and Burlington, and somehow wasn't impressed (can't remember, maybe it was a shorter warranty, or just meh construction quality).

No BJ's near me. Searched on their site [bjs.com] and only 12 items show up!
Checked on Travelpro's site [travelpro.com]. Prices are $200+, $300+.

Marshal [marshalls.com] / TJ Maxx [tjx.com] - these? These are looking like clothing stores. Not seeing any luggage on these sites. TJ Maxx is saying "We're sorry, tjmaxx.com is unavailable in your country." when I click on anything. (I'm in USA.)
