If you are not eligible through another option you can become a member of Foster Care to Success (FC2S) and become eligible for Alliant membership. when i opened the savings (step 1) it didnt let me input the promo code. but i see it when i open my CD and checking account. is that right or did i do it wrong?

New Account must be opened by applying online at myalliant.com/FASTPASS or by phone at 800-328-1935 and mentioning "Fast Pass Promotion

Be forwarned here - Existing Alliant customers with a saving and checking acount can only expect a a max of $200 - and only when they open a a CD with $10,000. Otherwise, you'll need to open a CD with at least $1000 to earn just $100. I complained to Alliant because after I read the promo page, I talked to CS and was told that I could open another checking acct and a max of $300 would be available to me. The promo page reads as follows: "Already an Alliant member? You can still earn up to $300 in bonuses by completing steps 2, 3 and 4! For step 4, you can qualify to earn the $100 bonus if the combined balance of your savings, checking and certificate accounts on April 30, 2023 is $10,000 or more than the combined balance since January 18, 2023. Use promo code FASTPASS to get started." I could not complete Step 2, i.e., the new checking acct. After complaining about the misinfo by the initial CS rep and the misleading info on the promo webpage, all a CS manager could do was apologize and state that a second checking acct could not be used for Step 2. I told them that the promo page then needs to corrected. Just checked today. Same info on webpage after I complained about it around four days ago.

this website is the same as OP's first url which I've used to open my savings.

But, I don't see it ask anywhere for entering the promo code for savings (step 1). It does ask me to enter promo code for step 2 and step 3 (which I did)

Why can't you still add an additional $9000 to any account for an additional $100 after you do a $1000 cd for the first $100?

I already had an Alliant savings and checking account. I assumed that a total of $10K had to be deposited in a new savings, checking or CD account. For Step 4 to apply to me, I assumed I could only put $10k in a CD to get only $200 back. But if you have existing accounts with Alliant, I'd call 'em to make sure.

Fortunately, I only have a savings account and no checking account.
