I don't have an existing active subscription, and the code I was sent does not work. I just requested a refund. Thanks

I also don't and emailed support. They told me you can't have any history of game pass on the account which was not stated. I asked for a refund but I'm guessing it's gonna have to be a dispute. What a hassle.

Did it work for you? I've had a sub for a few years but it just expired so wasn't sure if I should bother with this.

I just tried it. My sub expired yesterday and I tried this and I get an error. FYI

I also purchased this with the understanding that my existing MS account with an expired Gamepass would work. The exact wording was "Can only be used on new/existing Microsoft accounts without GamePass" which to me sounds like you can have an existing account and "without Gamepass" implies a new account OR an expired account.

That has now been updated to "Codes are NOT stackable and cannot be redeemed on a Microsoft account that has Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, either expired or active".

Clearly, Gamespot misled folks into buying into this deal (which is an awesome deal), but failure to put all the details out front is on them. I'm currently trying to get a full refund (I bought two of these) or I'll have to dispute the charges. So good luck to me I guess.

I purchased the subscription, and it didn't work for me either. They asked for a screenshot to prove that the redemption didn't work sent it to them, and now I'm waiting for a refund. Not as advertised.
