Gonna quote a user from that thread on runtimes (using a 4AH battery, so ~ halve them for the 2AH battery)



Since it's "hybrid", that means there's a male plug underneath where the battery goes in, so you can plug an extension cord into it and into the wall to run it off normal house outlet power.

max output are the batteries to go for if you're invested in Ridgid. Don't know if my gen5x even supports the higher octane/maxoutput batts but I haven't had any problems using it to remove nuts even with the regular 4ah batts.

Didn't know about this heat gun. looks like a good deal for 60.

From what I read the 8 ah uses 21700 cells vs 18650 in the 4 ah. Higher energy density in the 21700= longer runtime. The 21700 cells are also in the highly touted 3 ah octane battery.

Probably not needed for the weekend warrior but for some the 8 ah battery could make a big difference for them.
