Not trying to threadcrap, but other than portability, wouldn't the Xt-4 be a lot more camera for not much more money?
I was thinking the same thing. Also allows you to swap lenses etc. This is more for that person though who wants a good point and shoot with little hassle... and deep pockets.
This is a camera whose price is artificially inflated by the YouTube influencer tax. Unless you have to have a small fixed lens or already have a main camera, there are plenty of other options which provide much better value.

Correct. The X100F, and even the X100T gives the same results.
You can't sell the Xt4 for more than you buy it for. Does the XT4 have some advantages for some photographers? Yes, but not many.
XT4 is for videography. But that's besides the point. A fixed lens can only do so much. Lens are much more important than camera bodies.
this is a niche artistic photography camera meant for a narrow audience. Once the YouTube hype blows away influencers will be looking for some more things to consume and this camera will go back to its fair market value.

The Contax T2 still has an inflated price after it was discovered Kendall Jenner uses it and that was back in 2018

Agree, A7C body is cheaper than this small thing, performs better and you can have a lots of lenses. The only problem is lenses for full frame are quite expensive.
I'm deep in the Fujifilm world, but regretting it. While they advertise webcam functionality it doesn't work (on macOS), and even using an HDMI capture card blows - it overheats after 20-30m.
Pictures are great. Build of camera is sick. 16mm lens is amazing. But I'd probably suggest Sony if you're looking for a modern experience. I can't tell you how annoyed I am to be missing GPS, webcam, wireless image transfers etc. Fujifilm claims to have these features but the reality is that they're so cumbersome or unreliable that they basically don't.
It's the same reason people buy Leica for thousands more. It's aesthetics. As a Fuji and Sony user and having owned all versions of Fuji x100 and Fuji XTs I can tell that the joy of using X100 series is at another level. It's one of the best ways to learn photography. It forces you to look for a frame rather than zoom in and out and be lazy.
