I had 200,000 points and just booked 5 nights in Paris and 4 nights in Nice, France with 195,000 points for May. Each city had the 4th night free since thats the perk with this card. Paris was kinda expensive so I probably could have squeezed out 12 nights with the points if I booked it all in Nice France or another city. For top hotels maybe 2-3 night since I saw nice Paris hotel for 80,000 points a night. I always aim for the 4th night free. I like this card and also got their Business version card too
Free annual reward night makes the card a no brainer, more than offsets the AF. I have one card each for business and personal use, stay mostly in the sock drawer.

I signed up for this card 2 weeks earlier when it was 140k points. I have not yet received my bonus points or met the 3k spending requirement. Any chance I get the 175k instead of the 140k?
I'm willing to cancel this card over this
I can confirm that they will match this. I did the same thing - called both IHG and Chase and they both told me they couldn't match it. As a last ditch effort, I messaged chase support through Twitter, and they were able to confirm that they would match it for me. They sent me 35K when I met the spend requirement, then the other 140K a couple weeks later.
if i have the old old 49 annual ihg credit card. can i still apply??
guess not. said can't if you already have ihg reward card
I would try it... I did the same thing 4 years ago. I applied for the old $49 card, got it and when the new Premier card came out a month or so later, I actually applied and was surprised when I was approved. I think they see it as TWO different cards.

4 years ago they did...March 24 2022 is when the one-per-family rule came to the IHG card so this is no longer possible.
55k additional points is worth more than $99... plus the $99 card gets you another free night each year, platinum status, and a $100 TSA/GE credit
already have the tsa. The hotel redemptions aren't great and not my first choice. Just going to use it for a shorter trip somewhere. I'm not a big IHG fan.
Points carry more value (I think) when you use them outside of the US so maybe save them for any international trips.
I visited Korea where a room that would have costed $500 or so only needed 30k points. They also upgraded to a suit so I am sure my 30k covered $700-800.

1) What credit bureau do they use? Mine are locked; so I need to know what to unlock.
2) Are the rewards subject to income tax?

Credit card SUBs requiring spend are never taxable as they're not income, the IRS considers them rebates.

My app required a phone call to Chase to continue the process after unfreezing my Experian credit report.
