Note that the blemished one will come in somewhat protective original packaging and will probably arrive relatively unscathed. While the reconditioned will likely be loose in a cardboard box and comes with a high risk of shipping damage.

I recommend spending the extra few bucks for blemished unless you have a local store to pick up and return the reconditioned one to if needed.

I have this unit and it is incredibly loud inside the house.

I used it for nailing trim and shoe moulding and had to wear ear protection the entire time, especially when the compressor ran. Maybe it isn't as loud in a shop but in the house it is definitely a little uncomfortable.

Research the SCFM that the tool you want to use needs. This compressor is 2.6 SCFM @ 90PSI which is pretty low for most tools - it's basically designed for nail guns

I have this unit and it is incredibly loud inside the house.

I used it for nailing trim and shoe moulding and had to wear ear protection the entire time, especially when the compressor ran. Maybe it isn't as loud in a shop but in the house it is definitely a little uncomfortable.
