Their pocket hole jig can only make correctly centered holes at the proper angle in one thickness of stock. Those holes are fine, but if you use any other size of wood, the holes have too much angle or will be close to one edge.

3/4". The holes won't be centered on the 1/2" or 1" and will have a bad pull angle on the 1-1/4" and 1-1/2". The Kregs are adjustable to have the correctly angled hole centered in all of those sizes.

Some good deals to be had, but many are tiny mark-downs (Anvils look decent). Anyone try the pocket hole jig? I have a cheap Kreg one that has been working fine, but I wonder if getting a stationary one with a clamp is worth it?

$2 for 50 feet of paracord is a good deal. Can never have too much cordage!

Oh no, does that mean they're discontinuing the pocket hole jig?? It's a great product!! Their screws are worthless, kreg really does have the best combination of features on those, but the jig itself is excellent.

Which thickness would that be? The photos show that it has two preset drill angles, one for 1/2, 3/4, 1", and another angle for 1-1/4, 1-1/2.

I've been using HF pocket hole jig for years building custom cabinets, tables, frames, etc. ..TONS of 3/4 and 1/2 plywood and solid wood stock use. It is absolutely fantastic. Solid metal construction. Don't listen to Kreg snobs. Go get it and you will have no regrets! Agree with comment above about their screws being terrible, but even there, I still used them up on less important projects.

I have the pocket hole jig from HF, made a lot of furniture using it. I'm happy with.

It's a good price, but I'd spend a little more for some of the other Chinese ones on Amazon, you get more accessories, and more adjustments.
