I think the previous low was $1399.99 for the 65" model.

Note for those purchasing it... I had the "white glove delivery" and they bent the tv the first time they installed it and had to replace it. Basically, make sure you don't pick it up from the corners of the tv. Pick it up with one hand on each side and then one hand on each side of the base. You will NOT be able to pick up this TV with just one person - it's too thin and will possibly (probably?) bend. Added an image of where the direction say to pick up for the 65".

Feel free to ask any questions you may have.

edit: back when I got mine I got the Upsie [upsie.com] warranty for it (which covers burn in). Use promo code PLAYOFF for a 10% discount on the warranties. I got the 3 year myself but up to you of course.
3 Year Warranty - $153.89
5 Year Warranty - $341.99

Just as a heads up for all non-EPP people who want the deal: if you have AAA membership this deal works.

Navigate here: https://discounts.aaa.com/home-bu...ts/samsung

Enter your info and you'll be redirected to Samsung's website. You'll see the TV listed as $16XX, but as soon as you get into checkout, it'll show as $1259.99.

Enjoy!

The whole fragile thing is overblown. Picked mine up and had no issues.

The first thing one sees when opening the box is an image clearly showing not to lift by the corners. There is no shortage of places to lift from, just stay away from the corners.

Glad I got this over the C2, as the picture is ridiculously good.

Only downside so far are the UI and remote as they kinda suck, but I use an AppleTV so don't really care anyway.

My cousin bought an 65 LG C2 and also a 65 Samsung S95B, so he can run them side by side comparison test. He ran both through rtings recommended setup with minor adjust for each panel lottery, as he's a professional TV calibrator. I forget the model blu-ray players he had, but he ran the same movie on each one, completely mirrored setup. LG C2 playing in Dolby Vision and an S95B playing in HDR10+, the S95B blew the C2 out of the water. The real test though he said was comparing the C2 DV against the S95B with HDR10, and the difference was hardly noticeable, in that the S95B was still far superior. For added stress test, he ran a VRROOM with Nvidia Shield Pro with an adjusted EDID profile to output LLDV to the S95B, then had the C2 connected the same Nvidia Shield Pro playing from Netflix, Hulu, etc steaming services. So C2 displaying DV and S95B playing LLDV, and the S95B still blew the C2 out of the water.

In the end he said the hype over DV being superior may have had a leg in the race back when HDR10 and weak LED tech against an OLED was the case, but now with miniLED and QD-OLED plus HDR10+ more commonly offered in most streaming services, DV isn't a factor.

Idk, I personally bought a QN90B, because I use my TV as a PC monitor and want to avoid burn in issues altogether. However, I did snag this S95B over the C2 based on his recommendations for the bedroom.
This is same result I came up with comparing the S95B to my LG G1

Made me wish I could return the LG G1 I bought in December 2021..nod

If I pick this up from best buy and I have an issue with the TV do I bring it back to best buy or deal with Samsung
Back to Best Buy. They have a return policy specific to Samsung.com purchases picked up in their stores, on the BB website.

If you're looking at dollar per dollar value, Upsie offers a 5yr warranty on this TV for $379.99 and Allstate offers 4yr warranty for $349.99, so that sounds like a horrible deal for 5yrs at $540. However, it's Costco, and there's no overlap, only continuation of warranty. I'd say if you plan to keep this TV for 7yrs, definitely worth the $540 through Costco's hassle free warranty coverage. Personally, if the price discrepancy is minimal for anything I purchase but is available through Costco, I always went with Costco, even if slightly more. However with the Costco Anywhere Visa no longer providing the extended warranty coverage through the credit card, It makes making that extra a little harder to justify. The only time I can justify it, is going back to my experience with Costco support being hassle free with nearly anything I've ever purchased and returned, either because the product didn't meet my satisfaction or incurred failure of some sort.
Thank you for the input, I did purchase with the Citi credit card before they discontinued the warranty. However if I remember correctly allstate doesn't cover burn in. Hmmm I don't know it's a tough choice, I never had a tv crap out on me thank God.

Great job OP. Was able to get this TV and they threw in the 2 year of care coverage. Has anyone had to use that coverage? What does it cover?

That's true about burn in coverage, Upsie does offer burn in coverage, if you were looking to get some savings and still have coverage. So something to ponder. Otherwise full savings means less coverage. I can tell you that in the past against recommendations by my cousin whose a professional TV installer and calibrator, I almost never bought extended warranty coverage because I've been fortunate enough to never have any of my TVs fail on me of any sort. That changed in 2016 when I bought my UN82MU8000, about 3yrs in it had a pink line suddenly appeared on the left side of the panel while watching TV. Out of warranty, and the line has increased in thickness over time. 5yrs later, another pink line appeared on the right side of the panel. The cost to repair it with labor was more than the cost of the TV at this point, and even with my cousins help to do it for free, it just wasn't worth the hassle. Since 2016 I've bought extended warranties and never have to hear "I told you so" from my cousin as an added benefit.

I don't plan on updating the TV as the new firmware lowered the brightness. Anyone know what firmware versions were the best

Paramount+, Apple TV, Hulu, Amazon Prime, etc ALL support HDR 10+ which is their version of reading dynamic metadata.

You have no idea what you're talking about regarding Dolby Vision which is just a flavor of HDR.

Dolby Vision or HDR10+ should not be any deciding factor when purchasing a tv.

S95B is superior to the C2, S95B is superior to the G2, it's only bested by Sony flagship A95K
You basically listed all the streaming services that do support it and then threw an "etc" at the end lolol. Netflix and HBO Max don't support HDR 10+. Suggesting people that want DV are missing something is rather ignorant. Some people would like to get all the format features that should be available on a TV of this price.

And you're glossing over the fact that at the end of the day the panel is what matters. DV isn't going to make the C2 look a better because it's an inferior panel.

Was posted earlier by some else but:

"the difference between the three formats isn't that important. The quality of the TV itself has a much bigger impact on HDR."

Uh huh. Except I didn't say anything about any of that, just pointed out that people that want DV are justified in wanting it. Oh, and this is from the site you just linked

https://www.rtings.com/tv/tools/c...1229/32382

If you want to call this the play because of the price here, that's cool. But stop acting like this TV is miles better and that DV doesn't matter. If both HDR10+ AND DV are available on your service, then obviously it doesn't matter. The point is that Netflix ONLY supports DV as its dynamic HDR offering.

Let me put this another way that might be easier to comprehend. If I'm someone that's looking to buy one of these TVs and I spend a lot of time watching Netflix and HBO Max (which anecdotally is probably a lot of people), would I rather have the S95B with inferior HDR10 or the C2 with DV?

I got this last night from bestbuy through Samsung site. I have a c2 as my monitor. I have owned LG oled only for years now and I can say this Samsung blows it out of the water. I was skeptical losing dv too but after watching a movie last night it doesn't matter. Such a bright beautiful display. Also having owned other oleds and reading everyone talk about how fragile it is I got stressed out but its not much different then other oleds. Which with any tv you should be careful with.

They also named the Samsung the best 65" TV, so what's your point exactly?

And you keep missing the point, it doesn't matter that those streaming services stream only in HDR at this point for the Samsung. DV does matter. When the panels are EQUAL. Not the case here as the LG is an inferior panel.

The Sammy is the better panel and the C2 with DV does not look better than the Sammy with HDR.

Well…the poster is talking about video streaming and image quality, which loses all credibility for me.

DV crushes HDR10+ in physical media. I own 370 4K media. 137 have DV. 11 have HDR10+.

ELEVEN.

HDR10+ is the Betamax of our age. DV won. And Samsung are fools for not paying for the license.

You're incorrect, but that's ok. Netflix DV on C2 is a superior experience to Netflix vanilla HDR10 on the Samsung. If you're still arguing that point then I'm done replying to you. And regardless of that, the difference in PQ head to head with the C2 and S95B is minor to begin with, and there are reviewers that prefer the C2 just as there are ones that prefer the S95B.
