I think the previous low was $1399.99 for the 65" model.

Note for those purchasing it... I had the "white glove delivery" and they bent the tv the first time they installed it and had to replace it. Basically, make sure you don't pick it up from the corners of the tv. Pick it up with one hand on each side and then one hand on each side of the base. You will NOT be able to pick up this TV with just one person - it's too thin and will possibly (probably?) bend. Added an image of where the direction say to pick up for the 65".

Feel free to ask any questions you may have.

edit: back when I got mine I got the Upsie [upsie.com] warranty for it (which covers burn in). Use promo code PLAYOFF for a 10% discount on the warranties. I got the 3 year myself but up to you of course.
3 Year Warranty - $153.89
5 Year Warranty - $341.99

Just as a heads up for all non-EPP people who want the deal: if you have AAA membership this deal works.

Navigate here: https://discounts.aaa.com/home-bu...ts/samsung

Enter your info and you'll be redirected to Samsung's website. You'll see the TV listed as $16XX, but as soon as you get into checkout, it'll show as $1259.99.

Enjoy!

The whole fragile thing is overblown. Picked mine up and had no issues.

The first thing one sees when opening the box is an image clearly showing not to lift by the corners. There is no shortage of places to lift from, just stay away from the corners.

Glad I got this over the C2, as the picture is ridiculously good.

Only downside so far are the UI and remote as they kinda suck, but I use an AppleTV so don't really care anyway.

Katzmaier for one seems to prefer the C2 to the competitors in the price bracket.
did you actually read that review?
He did not even post comparative data of other sets there

and then he says this..LOL

"I haven't reviewed other 2022 OLED TVs yet but from what I've seen so far I'd be surprised if they were significantly better than the C2. "

That's kind of the point. The "sacrifice" is minimal in my experience. I'd rather have DV support all other things being equal (though they aren't here, the price is lower on the Samsung with this deal which automatically makes it a logical choice over the C2 which I've already stated).
well...I would say my eyes agree with the majority of reviewers and the " sacrifice " is not minimal. I agree with rtings.com on the fact that the picture quality of the panel is a lot more important than the HDR format
https://www.rtings.com/tv/learn/h...lby-vision

So to obtain the best picture quality out there its either this Samsung or the Sony A95K

As I said before, this S95B in HDR10 spanks my G1 playing Dolby Vision and I paid $1900 for G1 in December 2021

What reviewers prefer the C2?...Please be specific with links to their reviews if you would

I have not seen a single one that had that preference

Interesting when he says the he like the Sony X95K LCD and then gives disclaimers about blooming etc

Lets look at the numbers

Agreed. Not. Dead giveaway to go C2 but he is clearly not a fan of the Samsung. The Sony is top notch but you are paying for that for sure.

That reviewer lost me when he mentioned the Sony LCD in the mix with all the disclaimers about blooming and off axis viewing

Here is a review of the best two panels there are right now..and this reviewer is well known and respected

Except that most reviews, even the ones that say the Samsung is better, also say it's very close between the two. If they're both calibrated correctly, there's no "spanking" happening regardless of which one you prefer

I am not seeing the very close that you mention

I have looked at more than 20 reviews and I am not seeing the closeness you mention

The brightness and color saturation alone are worlds apart
Again...this Samsung spanks my LG G1

Ok, that's cool. I'm done grabbing links, but Rtings for sure said they both excel at different things and that they're close. I've spent a fair amount of time with the C2 and S95B in person and to my eyes, you're very clearly overstating the difference. But buy the Samsung one year after the G1 and live happily! As I said already, at the price here, would tip it over the edge for me against the C2, even though I'd be leary of the build quality and trying to deal with Samsung's famously horrendous customer service.

Well, I ordered the Samsung last night. Rtings seems to have it rated the highest in every category.

Now, what type of vehicle will it fit in? I have a midsize SUV (XC60 Volvo) or my parents have a Buick Enclave, which is somewhat longer...more headroom I would assume also.

I did pickup from Best buy....shipping was out into March 16th.

I was posting a link comparing the two best panels out there right now

Here is also another link with copious detail on the S95 and compared to others in regards to the performance numbers

The verdict section in that video says it all, yes. "Doesn't support Dolby vision". If they didn't think it was a problem, they wouldn't nail the review with it as a negative. Also, great points about the rising black levels with ambient light and the oversaturated colors on the Samsung (which is likely what draws people to the picture, the unnaturally over saturated colors Samsung displays across all ranges are infamous for).

I think the performance numbers say it all...and its clear there is a difference that favors the Samsung
And yes..it does not handle ambient light reflection as well

I will take that trade off for the great brightness gains alone...nod
So if you need to watch in a darker environment or like a bright HDR experience its an apples and oranges comparison

if you must have Dolby vision then buy the Sony version, simple as that
Again they are the two best panels out there right now...nod

Or the C2 at half the price šŸ˜€

I would buy the Sony in a heartbeat given no cost restrictions. The picture processing alone makes it notably better side by side with the others in certain scenarios.
