Used to be a big fan of Vasque, Montrail and Asolo... switched over to Merrell in recent years and have been very satisfied.

They're true to size... they're my standard size and pretty average in width.

These are great. I use the waterproof ones for work everyday in the winter and fall, then switch to non-waterproof ones for summer and spring. Super comfortable and last a long time even on my dirty job sites

What's the opinions of low vs mid? Is the low waterproof enough for pants? I mainly want a pair to walk my dog in the rain and also for trails with mud etc but not sure if mid is too inconvenient to put on like most mid shoes
