Via target might be best and grab the 2 year $5 Allstate plan. These seem to fall around the 20 month markā¦
That Allstate plan is a good idea. One of my controllers had really bad stick drift, but I was able to clean it with compressed air. The second one has a bad bumper trigger that needs replacing.

Will AllState replace broken controller with a brand new one, no hassle?

Had to replace one of these... It took a 1 ft fall from a chair to the ground. Never powered on again. Luckily it was within a return period of Christmas and I got another one.
Also - Anyone who doesn't know ALL colors except Black thumbsticks become a dark gross color after awhile and I highly recommend thumbstick caps that you can get for $4 for two pair on amazon.
May be a good deal for the colorway, but Carbon Black is $2 less at Target and GameStop right now, and holiday deals routinely went down to $40. 5% with Red Card at Target, and GameStop is running a 50% game trade-in bonus deal for store credit. If you have discs collecting dust, you can pay for one of these pretty quickly.
FWIW, I'm still using the controller that came with my Series X in November of 2020, guessing 400-500 hours? While the A button isn't quite as snappy as it once was, it's barely noticeable to even me, and it doesn't affect functionality at all. The one I bought at the same time for couch co-op (gets used at least once a week) still feels new.
Anybody have a good third party option with this stick layout?
The unreliable A and Y buttons on Xbox controllers are unacceptable for me. But I want a wireless controller for PC with the sticks positioned this way.

8bitdo ultimate wireless and Bluetooth has a good layout. The only downside is it has the switch/nintendo button placement.

That's one thing about my Steam controller that I love, I've had it for ~7 years, and it's taken so much abuse and is still just as functionally mediocre as it was from day one.

I just fixed my right broken bumper on a xbox elite controller (gen 1). took it apart and put in a new chinese knock off bumper that doesn't match color. =p
I also have the xbox one S controller that bumper isn't working due to the actual switch needing more pressure than normal. Thinking about upgrading to these latest versions. Why camo color sale but not white?
