seems like an amazing deal but the dryer appears to have poor reviews (and I constantly read bad things about samsung large appliances)

Anyone here have them? Recommend?

I don't have these particular models yet, just bought them. I have a Samsung washer and dryer currently that are 11+ years old, have had some issues with the washer but still working. I have been told LG is better but for this price and a 2 year warranty I'll give it a shot

I don't even know how an appliance company can screw up a dryer. It's just a rotating drum with some heat.

You got lucky. I had a Samsung washer that was never right from the factory. They made three attempts to repair it and none successful. Got a refund under my state's lemon law.

Have a smasung washer and dryer set. (Not this set).
I have become very intimate with my dryer I have had to replace the rollers twice now and just replaced the drum as the weld broke and started sounded horrible.
I paid nearly 900 for each unit, and would hate to see how cheap these ones are made. Hope after the repairs, I can get another 5 or 6 years out of them. Definitely won't be buying Samsung washers and dryers again.

Darn.... sorry to hear that. I rent so the landlord would have to fix it if mine went down. what brand you recommend because I'm moving soon and will have to buy a set.

I feel your pain. I am about to take my Samsun dryer apart for the 3rd time in about 6 years to replace another roller. Although it's possible that maybe they finally fixed some of the issues with these newer models, like mounting the rollers that support the entire weight of the drum and load to something other than thin sheet metal that bends and causes the roller bushings to fail.
