$6 for only 20 packs doesn't seem like much of a deal. Maybe just another thing that has increased in price.

* Edit. I guess it is. These are normally on sale 2/$4 but looks like those are 6 packs. So normally $6 for 18 packs.

Roughly the same per pouch price as Sam's Club's every day price. ($12.78/42=30.42¢. $6/20=30¢.)

This assumes you have both Prime and a Sam's Plus membership, otherwise shipping and/or membership throws things off…

How is the price compared to the big boxes from costco/bj's that everyone I know buys it from?

I see online for bj is 42 count for $12, according to that, doesnt seem like a great deal

Legality. Probably doesn't have enough sugar or something that coins the name candy. Much like how Pringles CAN NOT be called a potato chip (I believe not enough potato in the final product). Call it a Potato Snack and it is ok.
