if your budget allows a 4080, then you should get a 6900 xt, 6950xt or even a 7900xt, xtx. You shouldn't be looking at a 6800xt comparing it to 4080.

Both cards will work with video editting and COD, depends on what kind of performance you want out of it.

Ordered one of these in NOV26 and arrived DEC15. Card is pretty awesome. Totally worth it at this price, and waaaay cheaper than a performance equivalent Nvidia card.

Was on the fence about waiting for a deal on a 6800 XT or getting the 6950 XT for $700. Finally decided to bite the bullet on this one because I don't see an extra $180 of value (34% price increase) in the 6950 XT.

This card should be perfect for 1440p gaming. 6800 XTs are getting harder and harder to find. Thanks OP.

Similar boat here (debating the 6950 XT for about 2 months now) but couldn't justify spending that much. $520 is a lot easier to stomach.
