Well for basic media consumption like watching YouTube , heck yes. It is enough.

Storing photos and videos? Nope.

It has A13 chip set and 3GB of RAM.

This will be supported until 2026.

Question is if 64gb is enough in todays world….
Even with the iCloud 200gb plan, I still question the 64….

Isn't that the same cost that Samsung Cloud charges for extra (cloud) storage?
Maybe....but do you also agree that samsung doesn't really charge the kind of premium Apple does? And also, copying pictures and files from samsung phones is a breeze vs iphones.

I guess it's nice if you want a basic tablet with a lot of space (basically video player) because A series can't really be compared to iPad in terms of performance. No matter what Apple got the performance just right. Samsung tablets (or most Android tablets unless you get high end) tend to have frustrating experience especially browsing the web.
True. Apple experience is faster and better and that should be a consideration when purchasing a budget tablet (in addition to the budget). ipad 9 + book cover will be 300+ while samsung is 200

Did you do it via chat or in store?

I've tried three times to pricematch via Target online and denied each time. The last person I chatted with informed me that the item is not eligible and the system will not allow them... (I told them that someone else I know receive a price match from Target just to see how to see how they would respond).

If this is true and their system is automatically denying it, I'm wondering how anyone in this thread was able to do it online.

If they are going in-store and having a manager override, then that would be more understandable to me.

I can confirm that they can price match online. You just need to find a good agent willing to do that. One of the agents tried to price match the $319.99 price (Target price is $329.99) but would not match the $249.99, so I wonder if they have some quota in the total amount they are allowed to give to price match.

Via chat. I put it in my cart and he adjusted the price to match Costco and then asked me to check out. Did not ask me to supply any proof of cotsco

That's not true. Most can browse basic websites fine. Sure there are heavier ones that will cause some lag, but I think it's an exaggeration to call it frustrating for most.

Ok, I guess you folks have spoken. I'm actually at Costco right now and my dad who is 79 wants a screen larger than his phone. Just wants to surf the internet and watch YouTube's, this will be more than ample. I saw the iPad airs and I wasn't impressed, same weight and thickness pretty much and he doesn't need an M1 chip. He'll get one of these tonight. Only prob is my mom wants the 256 gbs to take a bunch of useless photos that she doesn't know how to manage…

Go look up Samsung's flagship phones and compare it vs Apple's phones. They both are expensive.

Dude… pretty scummy move to throw other people's price-matches under the bus because you can't seem to get one. And they make notations on your account so repeatedly changing reps isn't going to help.
Hopefully you didn't screw things up for other people.

$250 for iPad sounds nice, However its an old model. Like all tech, it becomes paper weight in 3 years or so. I will pass.
I had an original iPad Air up until a few months ago when I traded it in on a 2022 Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite.

I should have kept the iPad Air; it was a much smoother experience than the laggy Android tablet (and it has 68gb of storage space left).
