Not sold on pure electric vehicles yet but wouldn't mind having one as a second vehicle to beat around town if prices come down to a reasonable level.

If you are looking for an in town EV, highly recommend the Bolt EUV. It's pretty cheap with the current tax credits if you can take advantage of it. Else, there are PHEV like a used Volt or the new Prius prime if you don't want to go full EV.

Too bad none of the long range Mach-E's are below the $55k tax credit limit. Plus who knows what the dealer markup is?

I agree, I have a friend picking up a Bolt EUV for $28K plus it's eligible for the $7,500 tax credit! Some good dealers don't markup the price if ordering.

Why would you get one of these instead of a tesla?

Because you want a car that's not falling apart and gives you better value for money?

Amazing he was able to pick up a bolt without dealer markup.. I was in the market for one... ran into the entire dealer markup issue and then when Elon dropped the price of the Y , I said screw it and just ordered the Y.

Dealers and their greed are killing the legacy auto manufacturers

Being most electric cars have more torque than any fossil fuel car could ever imagine (many times restricted by software though)...why not?

Musk and Tesla are no saint either but at least the pricing is transparent and you have the EV charging network to back it all up. still, that Tesla lack of build quality for the asking price....
