They should have called in the E-Xplorer or E-dge or E-scape....something like that.
Compare that to my 2012 sonata that gets 34mpg, or my friends chevy 1500 with 4 popper mode that gets 27 if he does 55(though he only gets 17 doing 80 lol).
A lot of small SUVish hybrids are now getting in the 40's with my use (yes you are not getting 56mpg doing 75+).
It wouldnt be out of question to believe in the next 10 years or so that hybrids end up with glorified motorcycle engines that are just strong enough to maintain highway speeds(25-35HP sustained) combined with a light weight high power electric drive train.
By that time even EVs might have the magic batteries (they have only been 10 years away for the last 30 years) that would make them weight the same amount as the gasser version.

In my state for instance, there are 14 ford dealerships with 5 of them being within a 20 mile radius, and only 1 tesla dealership and 1 tesla repair shop, both being ~60 miles away in opposite directions. That alone would be a deciding factor for me on going with one or the other.

Guessing the Law of Supply and Demand would correct the market real fast.

All said mustang has cool looks, but least refined, charged relatively slowly. Ioniq 5 very cool and surprisingly good adaptive cruise control, but figured might as well get credit one more time. Only once did i find a charging experience that cane close to the rated speed.
VW order was delayed etc, and since i sold the ioniq 5 i needed a car so was settling for in stock ID.4 and hence the MRSP relief (days before Tesla announced) but only if i financed through VW - i arranged my own - who has terrible rates.
Never actually drove Tesla before 2 weeks ago and i will say it is the best of all, maybe Tesla learned from all the complaints etc. Tesla was now same price as ID.4 but financing was cheap and purchase experience was fantastic. Feels to me most refined, smooth, constant power, screen has tons of functions. I figure this is my last foray until the 24 Kona comes out to replace my wife's car 21 Kona which she loves.

Try one, and ideally not the low end Chevy. Very responsive due to instant torque. No engine revving. Not the golf cart you think it is. It's iPhone vs flip phone. Also lots more space in smaller footprint due to no engine or driveshaft. Fewer moving parts and less to worry about.

The comment had nothing to do with their performance. Plain and simple, the EV market is so artificial due to the multiple layers of subsidies that it would be comical to see what would happen if the subsidies vanished.
Those bastards. Can't imagine why people buy them...
