For anyone who may be confused by the inaccurate pictures/description for Q910B, the rear satellite speakers are NOT up-firing. First pictures at top of page show standard rears but if you click through, there is a picture that shows up-firing rear speakers. Scroll down the page to the pictures/description and it shows up-firing rear satellites with this description:

Sound that takes you to the scene
Rear Speakers Included
Fill the room with theater-like sound with the included up-firing rear speakers that project audio above and around you.

However, specs show rear speakers in this system as 2.6 lbs (for the pair) and 9.1.2 (the 2 being 2 up-firing channels which come from the main soundbar).


Alternatively, the Q990B is 11.1.4 channels and does include actual up-firing rear speakers (whose weight is 7.5 lbs for the pair).

Edit: Some more research of Samsung products shows that a very similar system to the Q910B is the Q930B which is 9.1.4 and does include up-firing rear speakers (however, this system is not available for purchase on the Samsung site).

How does this compare to Q800B (apart from these having rear speakers) I had purchased that last week and haven't opened it yet. Trying to see if it's worth returning and getting this 910B.
I had got them for $375

Seems about the same, but the rears are not wireless on this 910b and do not have upward firing speakers. You can keep the 800b and add the 9500s wireless rear kit for 120 from best buy

What exactly "wired" means in this case? Do they connect to sound bar or to a separate wireless unit for rear speakers?
