Technically yes, as they have a master link (if I'm remembering correctly from my chain), but it's MUCH better to buy the appropriate size for your chainsaw. The last thing you want is for the chain link to separate from manually changing it and you have nearly 36" of 62 sharpened teeth flailing around near your body.

I used to buy these chains, but then I bought a $8 chain file, and found I can now sharpen my chain more quickly than I can swap out a new chain. You can get the process down in one try (watch a youtube video). It's the best way, as you can sharpen the chainsaw before each cutting session. By the way, don't bother with chain sharpening tool gadgets. They are more trouble than they are worth. Just get the hand file, sized for your model, and sharpening is quick and easy.

You can change your chain faster than sharpening it (even when using a jig). I use my chains until there are not any teeth on them.

I certainly hope my enthusiasm for buying open box 3-packs of chains has not lead anyone astray... I highly recommend filing chains instead of throwing them away or using them until there are not any teeth on them (there is a minimum tooth length).

I like using the Oregon filing guide in the little kit and refilling it with Bahco files in the current market. The more you sharpen the better you will be at it, as long as you're paying attention to the results. Having two or three freshly sharpened and broken in chains comes in handy.

Ah bummer, looks like this is slightly different than what fits the Milwaukee M18 which is 0.043 gauge vs 0.050 for the 16" version of this.

I exagerated when I stated until there are no teeth. I am well aware of when to replace a chain like when a tooth is missing, or when the wear has passed the wear marker (this is what I meant with no teeth). I have changed a couple of times my 18" bar on my Husqvarna ranger chainsaw and has gone through proably a dozen of chains (I have a large property and we do have hurricanes). I get why folks change chains rather than sharpening them because it is more expensive to have someone sharpen your chain compared to buying a new one but all for all, sharpening a chain (which I do everytime I am done cutting or when the chain lacks performing optimally) is really easy with a kit. Make sure you have the right file and optionally, the jig to easy sharpening it. My 0.02.
