But these "wire service" deals are usually not a good idea. When my boss gave me access to the "employee discount" mechanism, she also advised me that no one used it and explained why. With a middleman, the "delivering florist" is giving up something like 20-30% of the transaction amount to get the order. This varies for several reasons, but individual florists will know it pretty well. The product they deliver is necessarily going to reflect those costs.
You're going to be better off contacting the florist directly. They'll be getting virtually all that you spend (probably paying a credit card fee, but they had very competitive options back then). And they have direct contact with the buyer - you'll have a direct line to sort out any problems, they'll feel a better chance of getting your next order.
The internet makes finding a florist who can deliver your order very easy, but their web site is probably still going through a middleman of some kind (very likely the same wire service that does national advertising like this). Small flower shops probably don't set up their own ecommerce site. To ensure they're getting all that you're paying, you probably need to call them on the phone directly. If there is any issue with the order, don't be shy about contacting them - these are very small shops that know they are largely a service business, and I saw many times that they are eager to make their customers happy.
