I've had one for 4-5 yrs and find it's only worth it situationally (as a homeowner). For example, doing a 15' high internal wall saved a lot of time vs going up and down the ladder to load a normal roller. If I'm just doing a normal 8' wall I don't bother with this, though.

But that project with the high walls? The cost of the machine was worth it for that project alone.

Will this make me not suck at painting?

Cabinets are far different than walls. I'd spray cabinets. And, certainly would never use a standard roller on cabinets. You're looking for a smooth finish on cabinetry, imho.

I retract my previous statement. It is $59 if you select the "Store You're shopping" for Zip. Not the "Delivering to" option. but if you try to ship it to your address elsewhere, you can't get the price. So you must be local.

Not available at all the zip codes people posted, price was always $94

Probably as long as it would have taken to just paint the damned wall with a regular roller .... just saying

How about painting a set of 250' fences? Might be even worth the one time use

This is what i was gonna do…
Or if you have a donut compressor, then it may be easier to just buy a sprayer attachment

Just my 2 cents. This thing is a PITA from the get go. It's hard to set up, hard to clean and you're better off just painting with a normal roller.
