It has a carbide blade with geometry made specifically for cutting ferrous metals. Its still a carbide blade so sure it would cut wood. And maybe you can find a 5-3/8 x 20mm arbor wood blade, itll cut wood even better.
But its depth of cut is only rated at like 2", its a small saw. And you might miss the miter adjustment and the light weight of the actual 12v trim saw if you want to do wood trim work.
Itll cut wood fine, but I wouldnt buy it to cut wood specifically.
It makes very quick CLEAN work of long straight cuts in plate steel or sheet metal. Stuff thats a nightmare with a jigsaw, or rough and tedious with an angle grinder.
