I'm old and grumpy and think it looks fine. They have been one of my favorite sounding headphones and quality is good too. Those are where my priorities are when looking for headphones 🎧

I know I'm old and grumpy, but why the hell does HyperX continue to use that god awfully ugly logo? It makes their products look like cheap toys.

I was under the impression that 2.4 is always better than bluetooth and is the reason most use it instead. An audiophile can chime in, but haven't most bluetooth headphones had to do more compression? Obviously wired is most ideal, but 2.4 beats out bluetooth.

I'm older and grumpier and irrespective of the headphones' quality, their logo stinks. And logos are generally accepted as the most important single element when evaluating a product.

How are these for recording a podcast? I have a SM7B mic and I need some headphones but don't really wanna go with the standard seinhesier HD280, Sonys, or audio technica. Just want something good enough for monitoring and later doing some mastering…don't need overkill just something that doesn't look ridiculous while recording and has decent sound and a relative isolation.

I'm not an audiophile. The idea here is to not interrupt your gaming session or have to take these headphones off when you get a cellphone call, etc. The "mix" is that you can game and answer your call at the same time. If you want to use them in Bluetooth mode to game chat, that's OK too but you're correct, wired or 2.4 would be better than Bluetooth in that aspect.
Had the Hyperx Cloud Flight S, and if its anything like that I wouldnt recommend this ever. All their headsets have a battery save feature that turns your headset off automatically after xx amount of minutes if theres no sound through the headset. And you cant turn it off.

Yeah but in my experience 2.4 runs into a lot of wireless interference and then just cuts out entirely but that might just be the data traffic in the places that I try and use it frequently

Good point.
It may depend on the model as well. My Corsair Void Pro works great across multiple walls in my house. My friend had two different logitech headsets, both on 2.4, and swears by one while cursing the other.
Gonna try these because the cheaper wired only pair has good sound quality and is comfortable.
This Bluetooth version has never been this cheap to my knowledge either.
I wanted a headset that could be used both wired or wireless and that has bluetooth. Most gaming headsets use 2.4hz and the range is so awful on every headset that I've tried so far. I can't even walk into an adjacent room without losing signal. Bluetooth range should let me walk across the house. I also want to use them with my cel phone and you need bluetooth for that.

For what it's worth, I'm also old and grumpy and I kinda like the logo, but I also really don't give a shit what it looks like either.
I haven't used these but I have the Cloud Flight S headset. There's another comment about them turning off automatically. I've never ever experienced that happening during gaming sessions and have been very happy with them coming from Astro A50s.

That said, it's better to not buy "gaming" headphones.
Check out Phillips SHP9500, Vmoda boom pro mic, and some sort of interface with a mic port.

A glaring flaw that they still havent addressed.
