I've been tv shopping lately and if you need a cheap but impressive tv at this size, you probably won't find better
I don't get when people say stuff like this. You could redeem this for real money so the tv is costing you real dollars, you realize that right?

Agreed - got the 50U6G last summer, after reading many reviews online, and was very happy with the quality despite the low price. We watch in a fairly well-lit room and it looks great. Finally switching out my TV/Cable box with a 4K unit soon and looking forward to some 4K content for the bowl which is super.

Bought the 58" version for $347 shipped a few weeks ago, dont think you can get much better quality fir the money. My ps5, pc, and tv all look great.

I use this daily as 3rd monitor for software development. Works much better than I expected for that, but I use it primarily to keep email and slack open. Response time/input lag is pretty minimal for non gaming use. Saw some chatter about issues with this having a BGR subpixel array, but I've tried on a MacBook pro and a win10 desktop with a 3080, and neither machine has any issues outputting things correctly. I have not gamed on it. It's 60hz so it's not great for shooters, but it allegedly supports VRR so that's a plus for other genres and consoles that support VRR.

Can one install apps like a fire stick on these? Not sure if sideload is the right term, but adding apps that aren't in the App Store.

I did side load some apps some worked great but one app that I use a lot was freezing a lot. The app does not lag on my standalone 4k stick. Ultimately I had to return the tv. I would not recommend this model and Hisense.

Technically yes you can, first unlock developer mode then sideload an apk over your network using a phone or tablet with an app like apps2fire or fire tv remote

Bought this last week. Nice tv. Hard to find calibration settings though. None on RTINGS.com for the fire edition

Any reason to believe this is targeted? I have it to the place your order screen and just the normal 5% back is showing and nothing off the price in cart.

Same here, $160, but for that price it was a steal, great TV.
