Yes, until around 280 GB then it drops considerably to 180MB/s.

If you need it and have the money, the 4tb version is actually cheaper per tb.

I purchased this at $130 to use an external drive for the Xbox Series S. Drive is fast enough to store non-X/S optimized games.

I've been waiting for that deal to come back for weeks now (I wish it got cheaper though). It will bump my new gaming laptop total storage to 4TB. Extensive back catalogue of games here I come! 😂

Check the reviews on Amazon (sort by newest comment). I only read a few but more than one person reported problems using it with a PS5.

Please excuse my ignorance on this matter, I've been using external drives (2.5" HDD) for the longest time in backups. It's cheap on a per TB basis, but obviously slow.

Been looking for a portable SSD that I can work off real-time, I occasionally do video editing work and would LOVE to work off such a drive. From my limited research, it seems I should really get something with Thunderbolt 3/4 but was wondering if this drive can handle photo/video editing? I tried looking up this part number online and can't quantify the exact type of storage used, presumably these are NVMe chips?

Thx.

I have the 1tb version. It hits the advertised speeds. I have Windows 11 installed on it with Bootcamp on my 2019 27" iMac. No regrets with it connected via the Thunderbolt 3 port.
