been eyeing a similar spec hp refurb prebuilt with i7-12700F for 850. not sure if less money and better upgrade and airflow options is worth the less performance.

Hate to tell you, but if you're basing your conclusion on the pictures of the mobo, you've identified the wrong one. Rather it appears to be the ASUS Z590-P.

It appears to only have a 14 day return policy. I could not find out if there is a restocking fee.

OK it might not be the one I thought, but I don't think that model number is accurate, either because if you look up skytech blaze 3.0 11700F 16GB 3060 Ti 600W there is one model and it says B560 motherboard, not Z590. https://skytechgaming.com/product...060ti-16g/

Also I wouldn't go by the photos, go by the text. Monoprice isn't accurate in its descriptions sometimes. I bought a headset a while back that staff said had a built in mic, but it arrived and no built-in mic.

Also, the item description says "USB Ports Including 2.0, 3.0, and 3.2 Gen1 Ports"

If you look at ASUS's Z590 page, it says it has USB 3.2 2x2 type-C. Something odd to leave out of the monoprice description if it were truly a Z590. I'm not sure anyone can know what the motherboard is. Something I always hated about Skytech... they don't say. After looking at everything, I'm still not sure if it has 2 or 4 RAM slots.

No arguments there. I'm just going off of their listed photos of the product. If it turns out they're doing a bait and switch, that's an entirely different problem.

Worth it to buy this for the 3060 for my new rig I built and swap in my old 1070 into this machine and sell the whole machine for the same price I'm buying it? Essentially getting the card for free minus my time.

I have been waiting to upgrade my card and this seems like a nice "free" way to do it assuming I could find someone to buy this same machine at this price with a 1070

how much of an upgrade would this be over a i5-10400, worthwhile?
minimal gaming, some video production

in for 1, been meaning to update my system, $812.80 minus 2% cb, cheaper than upgrading my old system and cheaper than BYO with same specs

Need advice from the group. Absolute newbie here regarding gaming desktops. I mainly play 4X games and simulation games such as Civilization, football Manager, Tropico, age of empires and sports games like Fifa

1) Is this a good desktop for the above needs?
2) Are there cheaper ones that do the job for the games I mentioned?
3) Any resources to learn more about (teach me to fish)?

Thanks a ton.
