Not sure I understand the criticism about the battery. If you're looking at buying brushed Ryobi tools from DTO, you are probably aren't running down multiple 5 Ah Dewalt batteries a day on a jobsite. This is a perfectly fine homeowner grade set, where most of us don't want to lug around a bigger battery anyway.

Ikea items specifically say not to use power tools for assembly... I'm reporting you to headquarters in Sweden.

This package sells for $100 at Home Depot so this is a decent deal, unless you want to wait for another combo deal that can be hacked.

Well I don't really fall in the category of someone that does lots of construction work. But when it comes to getting some work done with drills and impact drivers, I have to admit I prefer smaller batteries. I don't really care for a brick attached to the bottom of light hand tools.

But with that said, I don't really care for 1.5ah batteries. 2ah batteries Are the sweet spot for small hand tools. identical size to 1.5ah and nearly the same weight. While giving you over 30% more run time.

So is this worth it for someone without tools? I'm looking for a drill for screws big and small. Got a lot of stuff to hang and fix

This was my entry point into Ryobi and now I have over a dozen so.... no. Or yes, depending on your perspective.

Is the 1/4" impact driver "man enough " to take off a crankshaft pulley bolt of a V6 engine?

So, lol at me. I bought this set last week for 40% off, so $42.00 but with free shipping. I called today to cancel and the girl sent a cancellation to the shipping dept, then while I was on the phone with her, I asked if this was free shipping, which it's not.
I asked her to cancel the cancel, which she said she would send to the shipping dept, but wasn't sure if they would see it before cancelling, so not sure I'm getting my order or not.
SMH.
Thats clown car ish

Haha...reminds me of a Brooklyn 99 episode. They do sell their own tiny drill for construction though, despite their recommendation.
