I have this very knife. It's fantastic and we use it every day. The design is amazing, well balanced knife. Cuts everything from veggies to meat with ease. I've sharpened it at home on a whetstone to keep it sharp but otherwise a great knife. There are cheaper knifes that do the same job like the Mercer 6 inch chef's knife.

If you cook at home and regularly, a good knife is a must have.

meh it's the Sora line and not the Classic, for this price I would suggest the Tojiro DP if you want a VG10 chef knife

What a beautiful knife. Too bad it's not a wood handle. I already have a set of Shun knives and I love them. They also have lifetime free sharpening, if you pay for shipping. I haven't used it just because I don't want to be without my knives!

Check out Victorinox Fibrox Pro 8-Inch Chef's Knife. I have it as a backup/2nd knife and while I prefer my Mac knife as my daily driver, it's 3x the price. The Victorinox is quite solid and well worth $50

Looking at how the handle is attached on this, and how many reviews there are by people where it broke this point, I have been convinced that I actually don't need this thing I already knew I didn't need.

Go to Mercari, type zwilling in the search box. 2nd row of results there's a 7" santoku from the pro line listed for $29. Take that to a professional sharpener for $15. You'll love it
