Thoughts on rotary vs DA?

It will be quite a lot to research to figure out what's best for you. Short answer - DA is great for beginners doing light correction, and it's harder to mess up paint (compared to a rotary). However, rotary is better for heavy correction (but can damage paint if used incorrectly). I've been using DA for a couple of years now and want to transition to rotary for cars needing a lot of correction.

I thought they were now preventing deals from being hackable. Is that not the case? If you pick up in store do you get a receipt with the breakdown of what each's return value is?
I never done the "hack" but online it shows itemized the battery $119.48 and the polisher $179.52 but not sure how it would show up on a receipt or shipping invoice.

Simple answer may be: if you're asking the question, go DA? Haha

I'm looking to potentially wet sand and polish some granite countertops too. Thoughts there? Seems rotary best for that.

Yup, just like they have for around a decade…

Yes. It's a DA so it's more beginner friendly and less likely to damage the paint than a rotary.

I beleive the hack is buying the tool and battery to get the discounted tool, then returning the battery.

Place the order online. Call customer service right away and ask to cancel just battery. No need to do physical return.
