Anybody know how are they profitable? Since most gyms charge 15/mo and they allow access to multiple gyms

6 days a week, some mesos 2 a days.

So just a lil. But all these gym memberships that rely on crappy classes, meal plans etc are trash.

That's not how this work. You have access to 1k+ gyms (anytime fitness/planet fitness/esporta/etc) for a flat rate of $28/mo. I work at 2 different clinics, so I'm able to workout at one gym during my lunch break on Tuesday then a different one on the rest of the days. Each are within a mile of the clinic. Then I go to another gym that's closer to my home.

All you do is give them your a&f number and they give you a keyfob for that gym. No need to sign any longterm membership/contract since a&f is month by month.

I work at a company that offers it as a benefit and no one even takes advantage of it. Crazy

If I had to guess, it'd be the same way any other gym is profitable: most people sign up but never use it.

You could ask the same question about my local rec center where I lift. It's $900/yr for a family of 4, and there are 9 centers throughout the county. That's cheaper per person than A&F, and more expensive-to-maintain facilities than your standard tier A&F gym (swimming pools, etc.) But they just keep buying new equipment, so I guess they make money somehow!
