Boobies like you need to consider using Dolby Atmos app ($15 regular price lifetime) and pairing with a better than average rating headset. Look at rtings to find your niche. Best headsets are going to cost $300 but $100 headsets work well enough for your purpose.
Im considering going for headphones over a sound system for movies. Reason? My neighbors. Anyone have words of experience for a boobie like me?!
I feel like you can't go wrong with these for 30 bucks. They're pretty okay budget headphones. Punchy bass that doesn't usually get muddy, and just a fairly pleasant sound overall. I use them for everything (movies, music, games).

Gotta disagree.
I'm audiophile leaning. These are rebadged popular Takstar pro 80's
The Valorant team "Sentinels" are sponsored by hyperx and choose to use the cloud II's which use the same drivers and are very similar to these cores.

The hyperx line confuses me. Which is better? Cloud, cloud 2, cloud stinger, cloud core, cloud alpha, cloud mix?
Anyways. I went ahead and got the hyperx cloud alpha s from Amazon warehouse for $35 "used-good" and in my eyes it's basically new unused never opened, just the box was a little dinged.

I have Alpha's. I run them through a Sound Blaster G6. It's a super sweet set up and sometimes I watch movies through it vs firing up my home theater for fun since it sounds so good.

These are not audiophile level. If you are ok with that, then these are a great option. I use them for gaming, videos, and podcasts while working. The microphone is ok and nothing special, but it meets my not too demanding needs. If you have highly refined hearing and demand only the best, then spend 10x more and enjoy it. This is a good budget headset for regular hearing people.
