Its not the chicken that most people should worry about, but the next ingredient... 'meat by product'. Anyone want to guess what the mystery meat by-product is? Roadkill bones and guts? Or some random slaughter house waste not compatible for humans?

People pay extra for "tail to snout" eating and brag about not wasting anything, along with espousing the benefits of vitamin and protein rich organ meats.

"But don't give those to my DOG!!1!"

Pedigree seems to have cheapened their product, while adding more smoke flavor/smell to cover something up. I used to get it once in a while as junk food for my dogs and it was always a favorite. Now they'll only eat the chicken and refuse to eat the beef. I can't blame them. Just opening the cans makes it smell like a smokehouse in the kitchen.
