Hahahaha- 380 is a "deal" for a mixer?
First, it's a blender not a mixer. Second, the average price on Amazon over time is $541 and the typical price is about $580. That makes this a great deal for this blender.

After getting that, I kinda wish I got the 750 for the presets.

Yep. I got the a3300 for $350 and wish I paid extra for a3500 w/ presets as all I need are "smoothie" and "clean" presets.

Is this better than a3500... just little confused.. can anyone give insights on its power, is it compatible with smaller jars as well?

Depends on what you want. the v1200 and the a3500 are part of vitamixes new ecosystem. The the jars use nfc which tells the base whats being attached. Newer attachments like the food processor needs the nfc tech. I believe the base will adjust to the container size being put on it.

The 750 doesn't have any of this nfc tech in it.

I got my mom a venturist from costco with this fancy nfc tech. My mom is old so she couldn't turn the small container lid enough to get the nfc to work consistently. I ended up returning it. If you have decent strength this probably won't be a problem for you.

I'm thinking of trying this 750, it looks more simple to operate. The small jar functionality doesn't look as sleek though ie. https://www.amazon.com/Vitamix-Pe...B00K99PVKG

"pick color includes" then nothing related to the color selections in the list.
