I was putting an DRAM SATA option out there for the non-editors who may favor them and competitive priced drives if they can forego the NVME option.
No need to be an editor to need this format.
For example my laptop only has a NVME slots... no room for a 2.5" ssd.
And my mother board fits NVME (not 2.5" ssd) so if I want to max out my system I need a couple of there too.
So offering a 2.5" SSD as an alternative isn't really a help unless it comes with a sledge hammer to force it to fit in the NVME slot.

Sat
600 max for sata vs 7000 mb for nvme. That is more than 10 times xfer speed.
If you were to xfer the whole 2tb of data to another nvme it would take about 285 seconds or 4.8 mins.
Sata to sata for 2tb would be about 55 minutes if my math is correct. Quite the difference.
But unless you a home user that speed wouldn't be necessary imo. But then at these prices why not nvme I guess.
Absolutely fast enough for ps5
Yes you will need a heat sink

This is not yours. You need a Gen4 NVMe. This is a Gen3.
Your choices for the PS5 are:
WD_BLACK SN850 (or newer model)
Samsung 980 Pro (or newer model)
Crucial P5 Plus (or newer model)
Some of them come with heatsink included.
Those are the only SSDs so far rated to be compliant with Sony's specs for the PS5.
