Spectrum Mobile is offering an extra $600 bonus for phone trade-ins (including phones with broken screens) when purchasing a new Samsung Galaxy S23 series phones. No contract is required. Trade-in credit is refunded within two billing cycles if phone purchased in full. If device is financed, credit is returned over the financing period.
Listed price is my price for purchasing a S23+ after trade-in of my S20+ 5G with dead pixels (they offered me $618, $18 + $600 bonus).
This promotion seems to have some wording about port-in, however I just did an upgrade (I'm currently on Spectrum Mobile) and I was still eligible for the promotion at checkout.
Unless I'm missing something, seems like a real slick deal for those who can join Spectrum Mobile (Spectrum internet is required).
https://www.spectrum.com/mobile/p...disclaimer
"Promotion requires customers to trade-in qualifying device, add a new line, purchase and activate a new phone. If new phone paid in full, credit applied to purchase. If new phone financed, credit applied to bill in pro-rated increments for the duration of the Device Payment Plan. If the final trade-in value exceeds the cost of the new device, the difference will be refunded to your Spectrum Mobile Account. Trade-in device must have a value greater than $1. Visit spectrummobile.com/tradein for details. Restrictions apply. Subject to change."
Edit: Lots of comparisons to the Google Fi deal. A couple things to consider:
- Spectrum standard unlimited plan is $30 vs $40 at Fi
- Spectrum uses Verizons network vs Fi using T-mobile (T-mo much worse than Vzw in my area)

Google Fi....appears to be a better deal

Plus to have the Verizon network over Tmobile is worth the extra 25 alone, at least in my area.
Also, Spectrum is $30/mo for unlimited instead of $40 on Fi.

After your device is processed, you'll receive a credit for the assessed value. If you've paid for your new device in full, the trade-in credit will be refunded to your credit card within two billing cycles. Otherwise, a monthly credit will be applied to your Device Payment Plan in equal parts over the duration of the plan, starting within two billing cycles.
