Spectrum Mobile: Galaxy S23 series no contract extra $600 for trade-in

Deal Details
Spectrum Mobile is offering an extra $600 bonus for phone trade-ins (including phones with broken screens) when purchasing a new Samsung Galaxy S23 series phones. No contract is required. Trade-in credit is refunded within two billing cycles if phone purchased in full. If device is financed, credit is returned over the financing period.

Listed price is my price for purchasing a S23+ after trade-in of my S20+ 5G with dead pixels (they offered me $618, $18 + $600 bonus).

This promotion seems to have some wording about port-in, however I just did an upgrade (I'm currently on Spectrum Mobile) and I was still eligible for the promotion at checkout.

Unless I'm missing something, seems like a real slick deal for those who can join Spectrum Mobile (Spectrum internet is required).

https://www.spectrum.com/mobile/p...disclaimer

"Promotion requires customers to trade-in qualifying device, add a new line, purchase and activate a new phone. If new phone paid in full, credit applied to purchase. If new phone financed, credit applied to bill in pro-rated increments for the duration of the Device Payment Plan. If the final trade-in value exceeds the cost of the new device, the difference will be refunded to your Spectrum Mobile Account. Trade-in device must have a value greater than $1. Visit spectrummobile.com/tradein for details. Restrictions apply. Subject to change."

Edit: Lots of comparisons to the Google Fi deal. A couple things to consider:
- Spectrum standard unlimited plan is $30 vs $40 at Fi
- Spectrum uses Verizons network vs Fi using T-mobile (T-mo much worse than Vzw in my area)

they only valued my S21 FE at $69 + 600 which is ridiculous on top of selling it at almost full price. The google FI deal is way better

Galaxy S21 Ultra 512GB: The $103 trade-in value and additional $600.00 promotion credit will be processed after your device is received and verified. If the final trade-in value exceeds the cost of the new device, the difference will be credited to your account.

Google Fi....appears to be a better deal

Fi offered me $142 for my S20+ 5G with dead pixels. That brings the phone down to 358, which is a little better. But I took advantage of Spectrums buy one line get one free for 12 months deal a couple month ago, so I currently have 2 unlimited lines for $30/month. Makes it a no-brainer for me.

Plus to have the Verizon network over Tmobile is worth the extra 25 alone, at least in my area.

Maybe for your particular trade-in, but for my broken phone, the price is about the same ($24 more) . Plus I have a free line on spectrum due to their BOGO deal a couple months ago, so it just takes one month for me to come out ahead. So could make sense for anyone who took advantage of the BOGO phone line deal with Spectrum Mobile.

Also, Spectrum is $30/mo for unlimited instead of $40 on Fi.

I believe the device just needs to be paid in full, Spectrum account active for 60 days and in good standing.

Not if you buy the phone in full. Says you get it back within two billing cycles:

After your device is processed, you'll receive a credit for the assessed value. If you've paid for your new device in full, the trade-in credit will be refunded to your credit card within two billing cycles. Otherwise, a monthly credit will be applied to your Device Payment Plan in equal parts over the duration of the plan, starting within two billing cycles.

No, for the Google Fi deal you have to activate the phone and keep it active for 4 months.

Do you have to trade in a Samsung galaxy phone? Is there a list of which phones they will accept? For a while, they were having a promo where if you have Spectrum internet they would give you a phone line for free for a year. If that's still active, might be a good time to do that and get a phone.

Thank you
